After discovering Crossfit in 2009 at the age of 14, I knew this was the place for me. I have Alway been into athletics, I enjoyed a variety of sports; snowboarding, wakeboarding, football, soccer, and baseball. However, None compared to the passion I had for Hockey. I played Junior hockey all over Canada, and College in the United States of America on an athletic and academic scholarship. During this time, I would squeeze as much CrossFit in to my Off-ice training as possible. after hockey, It only made sense to pursue the coaching side with the passion I have towards training! I am now fortunate enough to call myself a coach and gym owner. I spent 6 years coaching at Crossfit whistler under Jordan Glasser, whose been coaching and owning a Crossfit affiliate since 2006.  I have learned from Crossfit To pursue your passions and to realize that through hard work you can reach beyond your goals. My goal as a coach and owner is for you to feed off my energy, feed of my enthusiasm, and help you reach beyond your fitness goals. I love CrossFit, I love this Community, and it has changed my life in so many positive ways. I am here to help you say the same thing!

    Owner & Nutrition Coach

I have been in the gym training and playing since I was 4 years old. My first passion was gymnastics and cheerleading. I fell in love with the two sports right away and when I was old enough to coach, at the age of 14 years old, I was coaching my first development group in gymnastics. I have represented my state in Australia at several gymnastics competitions. Training long hours, multiple days a week, and finishing high school, that is when I decided to transition into Cheerleading. I began training and coaching cheerleading which led me to The Cheerleading World Championships representing my club and competing on Team Australia. I have always loved coaching and seeing others achieve, so naturally I took over as coach and again we qualified and competed at The Cheerleading Worlds as Team Australia.

After cheerleading, this is when I transitioned into crossfit. Loving it so much, I had to get certified with my level 1 and start coaching, aligning with my passion of seeing others achieve their goals and being a part of it. Crossfit allows me to stay fit while still being challenged and learning new skills everyday. Crossfit is a community of people with a goal of staying healthy and fit. No matter where I am in the world I have always felt welcomed when walking into a crossfit gym. I am so excited to be a part of the Coast Mountain CF family to share my passion and knowledge with you!

    Coach

I grew up in Bogota, Colombia. From my early years, I fell in love with soccer which helped me achieve an athletic scholarship to play in the United States. From there, while playing soccer, I graduated from the University of Mobile, Alabama, and it was during my last year of school that I discovered CrossFit.

I fell in love right away with Crossfit as a training methodology and sport because of its community aspect which was very similar to what being part of a soccer team felt like! I started coaching very early in my CrossFit journey because my passion was so high for it! I discovered coaching was my passion as well because I could connect with more people in the community. Being able to help others in their journey and see their progress is the most rewarding element in my life!

  • James Little

    Coach

Throughout my life, I’ve been highly active and fortunate to explore a wide variety of athletic pursuits. These include over a decade of elite hockey, competing as a national-level decathlete and long-distance hurdler, as well as motocross racing, wakeboarding, and any other sport I could try.

Transitioning to CrossFit allowed me to continue my passion for Olympic lifting, which first inspired me during my track and field days, eventually leading to a coaching role. With over three years of CrossFit coaching experience and a background in coaching various other sports, I strive to bring my athletic experience, knowledge, and passion into every session.

Outside the gym, I’ve pursued a full-time career in mechanical engineering, specializing in designing high-performance vehicles and next-gen energy systems. When I’m not working or coaching, I seek adrenaline through mountain biking, motorcycles, trail running, hiking, and more.

As for my favorite CrossFit movements? Explosive lower-body exercises hold a special place in my heart, with squat cleans and box jumps being some of my top picks. My ultimate goal is to help our members exceed their fitness goals and unlock their full potential for healthy, fulfilling lives.

I grew up in North Vancouver, playing hockey, racquetball, baseball, basketball, soccer and lacrosse. I was part of the Canadian National Racquetball Development Team for 3 years competing all across Canada.I was always interested in fitness through high school but In 2012, 3 years after graduating, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, which shook up my whole life. I really committed myself to bettering my health and fitness. With a very busy life, juggling work and hitting the gym, I completed a Red Seal trade in Ironworking in 2015. Continuously watching Crossfit videos on youtube, I later discovered a CrossFit affiliate known as CrossFit Lonsdale. After completing my first workout in a box, barely able to walk, I decided that feeling of accomplishment was something I wanted everyday. I’ve gone on to coach CrossFit and functional fitness both in Vancouver and Toronto. I’m passionate about coaching, helping others achieve their goals, as well as achieving my own. I like to joke around and have fun especially when I’m coaching!

  • Tayah Bebzuck Marom

    Coach

I developed my passion for fitness at eight years old when I started gymnastics. The sport taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of surrounding myself with hardworking, like-minded people. That dedication to becoming the best version of myself quickly became part of who I am.

After retiring from gymnastics at twelve, I transitioned into Olympic weightlifting and later found my way into CrossFit, where both the variety and the community immediately felt like the right fit. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to compete twice at the Teenage CrossFit Games and earn a medal at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships.

I’m passionate about helping people of all ages and fitness levels work toward their goals! I’m excited to join the Coast Mountain CrossFit coaching team and contribute to this strong community.

I have always had a deep love of fitness, taking part in many sports and activities recreationally. This turned into a career after becoming a mother and moving continents (I am originally from the UK) allowed me the opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream and qualify as a personal trainer in 2019. I discovered Crossfit by accident when looking for something to do while my son was at an activity. I initially purchased a 10 session pass thinking I would do one class a week. That lasted 10 days and I was immediately hooked! I love Crossfit for its intensity, community and constant variety. I am always challenged and there is always something to work on!

I decided to become a coach because I love helping people discover their potential, build confidence and become the best version of themselves. I am excited to be part of such an amazing community and to help members achieve more than they ever thought possible!
